Why Xcel Energy Power Goes Out
In Upper Midwest, Colorado, and parts of the Texas Panhandle / New Mexico Xcel footprint, an electric outage is usually local distribution, not a collapse of the bulk grid. Typical Xcel Energy patterns:
Colorado upslope storms ice trees and lines along the urban corridor from Fort Collins through Denver to Colorado Springs.
