About Verizon Fios Internet Outages
Verizon Fios is fiber to the home. There is no coaxial node in the Fios design: light runs to an ONT at the premises. Fios outages are commonly a fiber cut, a failed ONT, a terminal/OLT problem, or a power issue at a cabinet. Wi-Fi can still fail while Fios LAN is up — always test a wired port on the router/ONT path.

How to Report a Verizon Fios Outage
Use the My Verizon app on cellular data or Verizon’s Fios outage help page. Check ONT lights (PON vs LOS). If LOS is red, the optical path is down — that is a Verizon plant issue, not your Wi-Fi password. If PON is stable but Wi-Fi is dead, reboot the router first.
