Internet Outages in the United States
12 user reports in the last 24 hours. The state and city counts below show where they came from. Your provider's status page is still the official source.
This is the national page for internet outages in the United States. In the last 24 hours there are 12 internet outage reports from people using this site. That is not above 20, so this page does not call it a major internet outage. The number is user reports, not customers a provider says are offline.
A high national total can be one state after a storm, or a few cities each logging a handful of reports. The lists below are the part that matters: which states and cities sent them. If your state is missing, it does not mean your connection is up. Open your state, then your city, and check the provider named on your bill.

Is it a major internet outage or just your house?
- Only your Wi-Fi is down and a cable into the modem works: restart the router. That is not an outage.
- The modem online light stays off after a restart, and a neighbor on the same provider is down too: report it to that provider. It can be local and still not be national.
- One app or site fails while everything else loads: that service is down, on every provider.
- This page is above 20 reports and your state is near the top of the list: more than one city is logging it. Still confirm on your provider's status page before you assume a nationwide outage.
Provider status pages are linked in the cards below. Restoration times come from them, not from this count.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a major internet outage in the US right now?
Not on this site. The last 24 hours have 12 user reports, which is not above 20. Your own connection can still be down. Check the modem lights and your provider.
How many internet outage reports are there today?
In the last 24 hours this site has 12 internet outage reports from people in the United States. The state and city lists show where those reports were sent. A state with no reports can still have an outage that nobody logged here.
How do I tell a major outage from a problem in my house?
If a laptop plugged into the modem works, the Wi-Fi router is the problem. If the modem online light stays off and a neighbor on the same provider is down too, it is the provider in your area. If only one app fails, that app is down, not the internet.
